|       The Swedish Vallhund is believed to have been a Viking dog. Swedish Vallhunds resemble, and may be related to, Welsh Corgis. 2008 was the first year the Swedish Vallhund competed in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Swedish Vallhunds are quite rare and would have become extinct in the forties were it not for the efforts of Bjorn von Rosen and Karl-Gustaf Zettersten of Sweden.
