Swedish Vallhunds have pleasant temperaments and are good with children as long as the children do not tease or behave obnoxiously. Vallhunds can be very protective and make good watchdogs. Swedish Vallhunds respond well to obedience training. Male Vallhunds may be combative with other male dogs. Swedish Vallhunds need plenty of activity but can live in an apartment if they get enough exercise.
